The generosity of individuals and organizations is what allows us to do medical service work around the globe.  

 

There are multiple ways to donate.  Please choose the one that is most convenient for you. Thank you for your interest in supporting our vision!  

 

For Matt's trip he is looking to raise $950 for logisitcs + the cost of airfaire (~$1,000)

  • Medical Service Trip to Haiti

  • March 18-26, 2017

  • Multi-disciplinary group consisting of internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, pharmacy and nursing

  • Partnered with Community Empowerment (CE), a not-for-profit that works in underserved communities with local leadership to provide essential health care, while creating a self-sustaining system in which they are no longer needed

  • CE has been working with the Haitian community since the earthquake in 2010

  • We will be providing free medical services to the communities of Jersualem and Pignon through a clinic that has been established by CE

  • Partnership wih CE allows for continuity of care experience and ensures that the patients we see will be seen again by other medical teams in the near future

Matt is an ICU Registered Nurse at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ferris State University in 2012, with a minor in Sociology, and then his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 from Ferris State University. While at Ferris State, Matt was a Resident Advisor for 5 years helping to protect, serve, and guide students who were living on campus. He was quite involved in the Housing Department, involving himself in multiple committees and worked with upper management in developing new leadership positions. While at Ferris State, Matt also played club hockey for the Bulldogs. In the coming years Matt will continue his education with aspirations of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist. Matt enjoys spending his time exercising, playing/watching/coaching hockey, golfing, hunting, and traveling.
