Community Empowerment works in underserved communities with local leadership to provide essential health care, while creating a self-sustaining system in which we are no longer needed. Community Empowerment has been a partner alongside Make A Change since our beginning on trips to the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Chicago Special Events Company provides professional DJ services and lighting for all types of events. They graciously partnered with us for our Make A Change Trivia Night Fundraiser and provided sound, lighting and DJ/Emcee services.
The Ultimate Image, a professional photography company run by Daniel Wasserman, is Chicago-based and provides premier photography for all types of events. Daniel donated his services for our Make A Change Trivia Night Fundraiser and captured the event beyond words. Make sure to take a look at all the photos from the event, and peruse his site as well!
The Co-Prosperity Sphere is an experimental cultural center located in the neighborhood of Bridgeport. The space is used to showcase work by artists, performers and cultural workers of all stripes. They hosts exhibitions, screenings, presentations, installations, festivals, meetings, and performance programs in its 5,000+ square foot gallery. The space hosts between 35-60 events and exhibitions a year serving over 20,000 individuals. The owners of the Co-Prosperity Sphere were amazing and donated their space for our Make A Change Trivia Night Fundraiser.
JetBlue's Community Connection volunteer program helps crewmembers connect with meaningful opportunities to inspire something special in their own backyards. For every 25 hours of service logged, crewmembers donate a flight to any charity of their choice. Lance Kallemeyn, a pilot for JetBlue, has partnered with MACI to help provide flights for our medical service trips. Lance spends 200 hours per year of personal time in community service to donate 8 round trip flights to the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
Wayne State World Health Student Organization
The World Health Student Organization at Wayne State University School of Medicine is comprised of medical students whose mission is to gain rich medical and cultural experiences outside of their immediate communities. It is the organization’s goal to provide the highest standard of medical care at no cost to underserved populations around the world. They aim to teach students clinical knowledge, facilitate collaboration with peers and other medical professionals, and encourage engagement in dynamic learning environments. They also serve their community by volunteering at local outreach projects and teaching fellow students about global health through the organization of speaking engagements and seminars.
